Treborough

Local Village to the Coleridge Way Cottages

Treborough, a parish in the hundred of Carhampton, in the county of Somerset, 18 miles west of Taunton, its post town and is 6 miles west of Williton railway station.

It no longer has any shops or public houses and so is technically a hamlet.

The signpost at the Triangle, entry point to Treborough Treborough Village from the gate opposite the Coleridge Cottages The lane into Treborough

Treborough is lovely small hamlet with a close knit community.

The village belonged in ancient times to Cleeve Abbey, and supplied that institution with fuel.

There is an extensive blue slate quarry and several lime pits.

The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells, value £137. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. In the churchyard is an old cross.
Sir W. Trevelyan Bart., is lord of the manor.

St. Peters church in Treborough. A service is held here a few times a month Chapman's Farm through the field opposite Coleridge Cottages

The fete is held in the Church yard and the services are always a good chance to meet the local community.
