Shooting Gamenear the Coleridge Way CottagesThere are a number of famous high bird shoots close to us where days can be purchased including: Chargot, Miltons, Haddeo, West Molland, Molland & Wellshead. Shooting takes place only from October to January. We are right next to the famous Chargot Shoot which is regarded as one of the best pheasant and partridge shoots in the country. Stay in sublime and peaceful luxury during those cold winter nights, adjacent to some of the Chargot shoots, at the superb Coleridge Way Cottages. Ample park for many large cars, wood burning stoves, under-floor heating, TV/DVD, Free wi-fi broadband and luxury facilities. Why not give us a try? Special one or two night packages available during the shoot season. We would be happy to taxi you to and from the local pubs and restaurants for a small fee. Shooting game is a significant part of Exmoor's economy. A 2006 report, commissioned by Exmoor National Park Authority, suggests that 1,600 full and part-time jobs in the Exmoor area rely on game shooting. It also estimates that game shooters on Exmoor spent a total of 16,000 nights in local B&Bs and hotels, and spent £22 million on game shooting goods and services in 2004, of which £9.6 million was spent at shooting sites and £4 million was retained in the Exmoor area.
