Horse Ridingfrom the Coleridge Way CottagesExmoor is horse riding paradise and one of the most rewarding ways to experience the natural beauty of Exmoor is from horseback. Spectacular wooded river valleys, rolling hills and sweeping moorland make for the most memorable horse riding you'll find anywhere.
There is great riding out straight
from the livery yard, We have a livery yard adjacent to the cottages so if you would like to holiday with your horse we offer stabling, feed and bedding and you can turn them out in the paddocks.

We also have an indoor riding arena for schooling or just as lovely place to ride when the weather turns foul. Alice our enthusiastic freelance BHS qualified instructor teaches all ages and abilities. We have two cottages Coleridge
Cottage and Wordsworth Cottage
both with double beds. Wordsworth can be converted into two single
beds by request. Both cottages can be booked
together to form one large cottage which sleeps 4 people, as they
have secure interconnecting doors. Being on the midpoint of Coleridge
Bridle Way we have excellent riding on our doorstep. There are
also numerous rides long and short straight from the cottages
for experienced riders and beginners.

We do not hire out horses ourselves but we can recommend two local riding stables where you hire horses, they are: Doone Valley Riding Stables in Lynton, North Devon Knowle Riding Centre in Dunster, near Minehead.
There are numerous horse riding routes from the cottages. The Cottages are on the midpoint of the Coleridge Bridle Way which opened in May 2007 . Emma on Zephy
